2026 Mother's Day eBike Giveaway Winners

2026 Mother's Day eBike Giveaway Winners

After receiving more than 1,600 heartfelt nominations, choosing this year’s winners was no easy task. We read stories about moms who always put others first, who show up day after day without asking for recognition, and who inspire the people around them in countless ways.

While every nomination was meaningful, seven stories stood out in a truly unforgettable way. This Mother’s Day, we’re honored to celebrate these incredible women with the gift of a new Lectric eBike and a Bern Hudson Helmet – because everything they do deserves to be recognized.

Meet our 2026 Mother’s Day Giveaway winners.

June Won

Nominated by: Cayla Won

My mother raised 3 of us kiddos. Growing up in an immigrant family from Korea, my mom didn’t have a lot and had to build her life “from the ground up.” My siblings and I grew up doing competitive sports all throughout childhood and even into college. She spent over 30 years as an optometrist and juggled running her own private practice while taking us to practices and swim meets. I don’t think she missed a single event. On top of that, she did crazy things like pack our “snack bags” or wake up at 5am to make us smoothies. Even growing up, she would prioritize her “days off” by taking us out for an activity. To say she is always there and available is an understatement; she is an emotional pillar and the grounding force in my life. In the hardest moments, I tell her that “she makes my world turn right again.”

My mother just retired! I would love to honor her season of rest and enjoyment with an eBike! Her and my father love to travel and explore cities. I think this would be a perfect addition to those adventures! She also loves good weather and spending time outside - I know she would use this eBike well. She has also been eye-ing one for a while now since she and my dad used to ride around on regular, manual bikes!

Motherhood has shaped my life in the most profound way. At just 8 weeks pregnant, I found out I had cancer and in so many ways, my daughter saved my life because the pregnancy led to catching it early. What followed was the hardest journey of my life, going through chemotherapy while pregnant, delivering her through a C-section, then facing a hysterectomy and radiation afterward. Through every appointment, treatment, and recovery, becoming her mom gave me a strength I never knew I had. She became my reason to keep fighting on the hardest days, and now every moment with her feels even more meaningful because of everything we survived together.

I’d use a free eBike to create more memories with my daughter and make life a little easier after everything my body has been through. After going through chemotherapy while pregnant, a C-section, hysterectomy, and radiation, having an eBike would give me a fun and freeing way to stay active, explore new places with her, and enjoy the little moments together without putting too much strain on my body. It would turn everyday rides into quality time and remind me how far I’ve come in my journey.

Maryjane Graybill

Nominated by: Malinda Laudenslager

I am entering this contest on behalf of my 83-year-old mother. She is the most selfless person I know and has always been there for our family. After our father passed away 40 years ago, she stepped in as both mother and father, providing us with unwavering love, support, and strength through the years. She has attended every sporting event for her children and grandchildren, always cheering us on. She has also been there during times of illness, helping our families in ways we can never fully repay. We truly don’t know what we would have done without her.

For a long time, she has dreamed of riding an electric trike. My husband and I often ride rail trails, and she would love to join us, but she needs a little extra support to do so. Winning this would truly make her dream a reality and allow her to be part of something she’s long wished to experience with us.

Diane Rademacher

Nominated by: MK Knuth

My mom has always been an exemplary model for challenging yourself with new life lessons, sports, or goals. Whether it was diving head first into serving as a leader for my elementary and middle school Girl Scout troop or learning how to road bike later in life, she has always approached every new challenge with excitement, dedication, and passion.

My mom is a steadfast and enthusiastic supporter of her children. When she saw how much I enjoyed cycling when I started five years ago, her initial approach as a cheerleader quickly turning into curiosity and drive as she began to think that she might enjoy it as well! What we couldn’t have predicted was that this would spark a newfound love for getting out, getting active, and getting cycling. In the past few years, I’ve seen her become stronger and more confident and I know cycling is a huge part of that.

I love my mom, for everything she’s given me, the way she shows up for me no matter what, and the way she loves our family. Being able to share a love for cycling is incredibly meaningful and has added an entirely new level of connection to our relationship. I love being able to send her cute cycling gear, share new ideas for cycling snacks (snacks are very important in our family), and hear about her rides! I’m so proud of my mom for taking on this new challenge and so glad it’s something we can cheer and support each other in.

As she approaches retirement (and some very well deserved relaxation) I know she’s looking for ways to continue getting out and about around town. An eBike would hands down be the perfect way for her to continue her cycling journey and would enable her to get to all of the activities she has planned for her post-work life! Whether she’s heading to town for a chai latte, swinging by the farmers market, or going for a longer ride by the river, an eBike from Lectric would get her there quickly and safely.

Angie Wilson

Nominated by: Briana Odell

I’d love to nominate my mom, Angie, for this bike giveaway. She has spent her entire life giving to others and truly deserves something that brings her joy and adventure.

Angie is a retired teacher and coach who dedicated decades to students in the Phoenix area, shaping lives both in the classroom and in the gym. She comes from a big family of seven kids, originally from Chicago, and has always carried that strong sense of community and care into everything she does.

After more than 40 years in Arizona, she recently moved with my dad back to his hometown in Missouri to help out on their small family farm. Even in retirement, she hasn’t slowed down—she spends much of her time volunteering at church and helping at the local St. Vincent DePaul thrift store.

More recently, she’s been staying with my brother to help care for his two young boys during a difficult time. She has stepped in without hesitation, offering love, patience, and constant support to their whole family.

On top of everything she does for others, she’s currently working to get in shape for a 150-mile walk along the Camino de Santiago—a goal that reflects her determination, strength, and an adventurous spirit.

This bike would mean so much to her—not just as a gift, but as a way to stay active, prepare for her journey, and enjoy meaningful adventures with my dad. After everything she’s given to others, it would be incredible to give something back to her.

Cindy Freeman

Nominated by: Chad Freeman

This entry is for my wife, Cindy – who above all else is the most dedicated mother I have had the privilege of being married to for 26 years.

To my wife, motherhood isn’t just a role; it’s been a masterclass in resilience. Our daughter was born with Myotonic Dystrophy and when we first received her diagnosis, the world felt like it was narrowing. We were told to brace for major challenges...and we've had them, but Cindy never allowed the difficult times to defeat us. Watching her navigate this journey has redefined what I know about strength. It isn't loud; it’s the quiet, fierce advocacy she brings to every IEP meeting and the tireless patience she shows up with every day.

This journey has fundamentally shaped her, but it has also flowed into our marriage.  It has softened our hearts toward one another and taught us a level of communication and empathy we never would have found on an easier path. As we've learned to "never quit" thanks to Cindy's resolve, we've witnessed life-changing milestones: our daughter heading off to prom & soon a high school graduation, swinging a bat at a softball game, and even the astonishing sight of her balancing on two wheels to ride a bike (but not yet an eBike, LOL).

More than anything, winning this eBike would give Cindy the "Me Time" she deserves: After years of putting everyone else’s needs first, this eBike would be a much needed gateway to independence. It would also serve as a productive path to de-stressing and giving her the mental clarity that she needs. Cindy would ride this eBike throughout the multitude of trails & paths at the Delaware beaches, and allow us to fulfill our eBike-ride visions of "early morning coffees", "Sunday lunches", and "beach-bound weekends".

Sandra Diamond

Nominated by: Chris Diamond

Sandra’s story is one of quiet strength and relentless love. She opened her home—and her heart—to two young girls from foster care, each carrying deep wounds from their past. Through patience, consistency, and unconditional support, she helped them begin to heal and rediscover what it feels like to be safe, valued, and loved.

Her impact didn’t stop there. Years later, she officially adopted a former foster child at 21, proving that family isn’t defined by age or timing. Today, that young woman is thriving—building a successful life of her own and raising a son.

Sandra didn’t just change lives—she helped rewrite their futures.

Beyond fostering and adoption, Sandra has also welcomed 13 exchange students from Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and Finland—sharing her home, her culture, and her compassion with young people from around the world.

She would use it to destress and get some exercise by riding around the neighborhood and visiting neighbors. She would also take it when we go on camping trips in our RV.
