Not every rider wants pedal assist to feel the same.
Some riders want strong motor assistance the moment they start pedaling. Others prefer power to build more gradually as they move through the ride modes. And sometimes, you just want the freedom to use your throttle without changing anything else about the way you ride.
That’s why the XP Lite3 introduces Power Profile settings, giving riders more control over how speed and motor assistance behave across its five ride modes.
Instead of one preset pedal-assist experience, you can choose from three different Power Profiles—and customize your throttle response separately.
First, What Does Pedal Assist Actually Do?
The XP Lite3 uses a cadence sensor to recognize when you’re pedaling and activate motor assistance.
Its five ride modes—Eco, Tour, Sport, Sport+, and Turbo—let you choose how much assistance you want from the bike.
But the way those levels deliver assistance can feel very different depending on how the bike is programmed.
Traditional cadence-sensor eBikes commonly use different speed limits to separate each assist level. The motor can provide strong power in every level, but assistance stops increasing once the bike reaches that level’s programmed speed.
Lectric PWR™ introduced another approach by progressively adjusting motor output across the ride modes, helping each level feel more distinct and controlled.
With XP Lite3, you can now choose between multiple approaches instead of being limited to just one.
Meet the Three XP Lite3 Power Profiles
Here’s the simplest way to see how the three profiles differ:
1. Speed-Limited
This profile feels most like a traditional cadence-sensor eBike.
Each ride mode has its own top assisted speed, while strong motor power remains available across the levels.
For example:
- Eco: up to 5 mph
- Tour: up to 8 mph
- Sport: up to 12 mph
- Sport+: up to 16 mph
- Turbo: up to 20 mph
This can be a great fit for riders who like having plenty of motor power available but want each ride mode to act as an easy-to-understand speed setting.
Best for: Riders who prefer strong assistance and clearly defined speed limits.
2. Power-Limited
This profile changes how much motor assistance is available in each ride mode while allowing every level to reach the bike’s full assisted speed.
That means Eco can provide a gentler amount of assistance while still allowing you to ride up to 20 mph if you keep pedaling. As you move into Tour, Sport, Sport+, and Turbo, more motor power becomes available.
The result is a ride where your selected mode changes how strongly the motor helps you, rather than how fast you’re allowed to go.
Best for: Riders who want smoother, more gradual assistance without giving up access to full assisted speed.
3. Speed + Power Limited
This profile progressively adjusts both motor assistance and top assisted speed as you move through the five ride modes.
Lower modes provide gentler assistance at lower speeds, while higher modes gradually unlock more power and speed.
This is closest to the traditional Lectric PWR™ experience, where each assist level is designed to feel meaningfully different from the one before it.
Best for: Riders who prefer a more controlled, progressive pedal-assist experience.
So, Which Power Profile Should You Choose?
There isn’t one “best” setting.
That’s the point.
If you like strong motor assistance and simple speed-based ride modes, Speed-Limited may feel most familiar.
If you want every mode to have access to full speed but prefer the amount of motor assistance to build gradually, Power-Limited may be the better fit.
And if you want both speed and assistance to increase together as you move through the ride modes, Speed + Power Limited delivers the most progressive experience.
The XP Lite3 lets you choose the feel that works best for you.
Throttle Response Is Customizable Too
Your Power Profile controls pedal assist, but XP Lite3 gives you a separate choice for how the throttle behaves.
You can choose between:
Throttle Matched to Ride Mode
Throttle output follows the same limits as your selected pedal-assist level.
This keeps throttle behavior consistent with the ride mode you’re already using.
Full Throttle Power
Prefer maximum throttle performance whenever you need it?
You can unlock the throttle so it has access to full motor power and the bike’s full assisted speed regardless of which ride mode is selected.
That means you can keep pedal assist in a gentler setting while still having stronger throttle power available when you want an extra boost.
Why Power Profiles Matter
Pedal assist is one of the biggest factors in how an eBike actually feels to ride.
Two bikes can use similar motors and batteries but feel completely different depending on how the motor responds when you start pedaling, how quickly assistance builds, and what happens as you move between ride modes.
XP Lite3 Power Profiles put more of that decision in the rider’s hands.
Whether you want stronger assistance, a gentler progression, more control over your speed, or full throttle power available on demand, you can choose the setup that better matches the way you ride.
More Ways to Make XP Lite3 Feel LITE
XP Lite has always been about making eBike riding feel lighter, more approachable, and more fun.
With customizable Power Profiles, that philosophy now extends to the way the motor behaves too.
Choose your profile. Set your throttle. Find the ride that feels right for you.
Life at the speed of LITE.
