I purchased new tires and tubes when I bought this product. Based on previous reviews I expected it to be a difficult task to install them. Although it was a little more effort than just the tubes and tires, I found it to be very easy.
I ride through the desert a lot and cactus can be a real ride killer. There's nothing worse than having a flat in the middle of nowhere in the hot Arizona desert. Installing the Tannus Armour Inserts and adding tire slime gave me much more confidence that I wasn't going to have to push my bike home. These tire inserts also allow me to ride with a much lower tire pressure for the desert terrain and even if by chance I ran over something that did cause a flat tire, these inserts allow me to ride the bike without sear of damaging the wheels.
They are a bit pricey, but so is replacing the tires when they are full of thorns. In the long run they will likely save me money.
As far as the ride, at first the tires seemed a little lop sided with the inserts installed, but within 5 or 6 miles they found their center and seem to be normal. After installing them the feel is a little different than being on air filled tubes and the sound of the tires on pavement is different, but I haven't noticed any negatives that impact the ride or the handling.

After suffering a blow-out with no discernable cause (perhaps combined weight of me + cargo?) I figured these were worth a try. I wasn't certain what to expect and when I received 2 of these foam-like inserts it seemed unlikely they'd be easy to install or even fit my Expedition cargo bike. As it turns out installation was a breeze and I feel far more confident with these in place. I haven't clocked miles to fairly evaluate them but hoping they provide a longer life than just the tubes.

These look like they will keep small sharp objects from getting to the tube. I watched many YT videos to get an idea of how to install on a Lectric Bike 3.0. Did not require cutting the insert as some videos suggested but you have to take your time getting it into the tire. Not as easy as some videos suggest. Patience is the trick here.

So far so good. It seems like it’s working well after experiencing my first flat tire I realized I needed more protection against pokey stuff. This seems to be doing the job.
