The light works well and is ready to attach. I think I would prefer the light on the fender so it would point in the direction you are going.

Great light! I live full time in my RV and bike at night a lot in our RV resort. This light is nice and bright. I can see very well. It is perfect for night riding.

Mounting the light was a little tricky as I have added the basket to the front of the bike, so I had mount the lamp the upside down under the basket. This was not covered in the installation manual, but I was able to make it work. I am not sure if it is aimed 100% correct, but it is brighter.
